Donka, the master knitter at Handmade Knitwear, has retired. This website at woolknits.com has been closed. We are deeply grateful to all our customers who have supported our small business by regurlarly coming back for new orders for more than 20 years! Thank you! However, you can still see our catalog of unique garments, which is now a gallery that attests to Donka's supreme knitting skills and unique design ideas.

This is the online store of Handmade Knitwear for warm, comfortable, and unique knitted clothes at affordable prices.  I offer sets comprising a sweater, a hat (and/or balaclava), mittens, and gaiters, made of pure wool, mohair, or merino.  I hope the joyous colors and unique patterns, using classical Norwegian and Russian motifs, will match your taste and brighten your mood.  You also may find knitted sweaters with delightful children's themes and exquisite lady's garments.  If you have been thinking of a warm garment from head to toes (catsuit, thermosuit, and alike) -- we have these too.
